This page lists hard technical limits that ScreenerHub enforces regardless of your plan. Most of these ceilings apply equally to Free and Pro accounts — they are not raised by upgrading. For per-plan quotas such as the number of saved screeners or watchlists, see Plans and Quotas.
Screener limits
The following limits apply to every saved screener, including screeners created in Studio.
| Property | Limit |
|---|---|
| Criteria per screener | 60 |
| Name length | 120 characters |
| Description length | 600 characters |
| Tags | 12 tags, 40 characters each |
The 60-criteria ceiling is enforced at save time. Studio lets you add criteria freely during a session, but the save action rejects any screener with more than 60 active criteria. If your thesis requires broader coverage, split it into two screeners and run them separately — you can save up to 100 screeners on Pro. For guidance on building multi-criterion strategies, see How to Screen for Value Stocks.
Watchlist limits
| Property | Limit |
|---|---|
| Stocks per watchlist | 20 (Free) · 100 (Pro) |
| Name length | 200 characters |
| Tags | 10 tags, 50 characters each |
The 100-stock cap per watchlist is a hard platform ceiling that applies even on Pro. If you need to track more than 100 symbols under one theme, create a second watchlist and combine them in the Monitoring Lab using separate monitoring sets.
Stock Browser result cap
The Stock Browser shows a capped subset of the full stock universe. The cap depends on your session state.
| Session state | Visible results |
|---|---|
| Not signed in | 10 |
| Free plan | 30 |
| Pro plan | 800 (platform ceiling) |
The 800-result ceiling is a platform-wide cap that applies to all Pro accounts. Results are ordered by market capitalization by default. Use screener criteria in Studio to narrow the universe before relying on result order — a tightly filtered screener is more reliable than scrolling a broad result list. To learn how to use criteria effectively, see Stock Screening for Beginners.
Financial history depth
The amount of historical data available for financial statements and dividends depends on your plan and is capped even on Pro.
| Data type | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Annual financial statements | 5 periods | 30 periods |
| Quarterly financial statements | 5 periods | 20 periods |
| Dividend history | 5 years | Unlimited |
These limits reflect how far back the platform stores per-company data. Requesting periods beyond the cap returns the maximum available rather than an error.
Platform ceilings
The following totals apply to Pro accounts and represent the maximum the platform supports for any single account. Free accounts have lower per-plan quotas — see Plans and Quotas.
| Resource | Pro platform ceiling |
|---|---|
| Saved screeners | 100 |
| Watchlists | 100 |
| Monitoring sets | 100 |
| Stocks per watchlist | 100 |
Reaching a platform ceiling generates the same notification as hitting a plan quota. Delete unused resources to free up capacity before creating new ones.
What this page is not
This page covers hard system ceilings, not plan-level quotas. The number of screeners, watchlists, and monitoring sets included in each plan tier — and what those tiers cost — is documented in Plans and Quotas and Billing. For help interpreting error messages related to limits, see Troubleshooting.
